AI generation failures in GetBuilo are usually straightforward to fix. Most issues fall into one of a handful of categories: low credits, a slow network connection, an input that’s either too vague or too long, or a brief disruption on the AI provider’s end. Work through the common causes below to get your generation back on track quickly.
Do not refresh your browser while a generation is in progress. Refreshing mid-generation interrupts the request and may consume a credit without producing output. Wait for the generation to complete or time out before taking any action.
Diagnosis: If you see a message like “Insufficient credits” or the Generate button is grayed out, your credit balance has reached zero.Fix:
  1. Navigate to Settings → Billing to check your current credit balance.
  2. If your balance is zero, select Buy Credits to purchase a top-up, or upgrade to a higher plan that includes more monthly credits.
  3. After purchasing, wait up to 5 minutes for your balance to refresh. If it still doesn’t update, do a hard refresh with Ctrl+Shift+R (Windows/Linux) or Cmd+Shift+R (Mac).
  4. Retry your generation once the new balance appears.
Diagnosis: If the generation spinner runs for more than 60 seconds and then disappears without output—or you see a “Request timed out” error—a network interruption likely broke the connection before the response arrived.Fix:
  1. Check your internet connection and make sure you’re on a stable network.
  2. Click Retry on the failed generation card, or start the generation again from the same step.
  3. If you’re on a VPN, try disconnecting it and retrying—some VPN configurations interfere with long-running requests.
  4. If timeouts happen repeatedly, switch to a wired connection or a different Wi-Fi network and try again.
Diagnosis: If the generation completes but returns generic, off-topic, or truncated output, the problem is usually with the prompt or input text you provided.Fix:
  1. Too vague: Add specific details to your input. Instead of “a fitness app,” try “a mobile app that helps busy parents track home workouts in under 20 minutes.” The more context you give GetBuilo, the sharper the output.
  2. Too long: If you pasted a large block of text into a field (for example, in Founder Coach), trim it down. Aim for the most relevant 2–3 paragraphs rather than a full document.
  3. Special characters: Remove any unusual formatting, emojis, or HTML tags from your input fields—these can confuse the generation pipeline.
  4. Re-run the generation after adjusting your input.
Diagnosis: If multiple generations are failing across different features and your credits are fine, the underlying AI provider may be experiencing an incident.Fix:
  1. Check the GetBuilo status page for any active incidents or degraded performance notices.
  2. Wait 10–15 minutes and try your generation again.
  3. If the issue persists beyond 30 minutes, contact support via in-app chat so the team can investigate.
You can check the GetBuilo platform status at any time by visiting status.getbuilo.com. The status page shows real-time uptime for all core services, including the AI generation pipeline, website builder, and billing. Bookmark it so you can check quickly during any outage.
Diagnosis: Ad blockers, privacy extensions, and certain security tools can block the API requests that GetBuilo sends to its AI backend—causing silent failures or empty responses.Fix:
  1. Open GetBuilo in a private/incognito window, which disables most extensions by default, and retry your generation.
  2. If the generation succeeds in incognito mode, a browser extension is the culprit. Re-enable extensions one at a time in your main browser to identify which one is blocking requests.
  3. Whitelist app.getbuilo.com in your ad blocker or privacy extension settings.
  4. Common offenders include uBlock Origin, Privacy Badger, and certain antivirus browser plugins.
If none of the above steps resolve your issue, contact the GetBuilo support team via in-app chat with a description of the feature you were using, the input you provided, and the error message you saw. The more detail you share, the faster the team can diagnose the problem.
