GetBuilo uses Stripe to handle all payment processing, which means your transactions are secure, your card data is never stored on GetBuilo’s servers, and you get reliable invoicing built in. If you run into a billing hiccup—whether it’s a declined card, an unexpected charge, or a missing invoice—the scenarios below cover the most common issues and how to resolve them quickly.
GetBuilo processes all payments through Stripe, one of the world’s most trusted payment platforms. Your full card number, CVV, and billing details are entered and stored exclusively within Stripe’s PCI-compliant infrastructure—GetBuilo’s servers never see or store your raw card data.
A declined card usually means something doesn’t match between what you entered and what your bank has on file—not necessarily that there’s anything wrong with the card itself.Steps to resolve:
  1. Double-check that the card number, expiry date, and CVV are entered correctly. A single digit off will cause a decline.
  2. Verify that the billing address you entered matches the address your bank has on file for the card. Mismatches are a common cause of declines.
  3. Make sure the card hasn’t expired or been replaced recently.
  4. Contact your bank or card issuer directly. Banks sometimes block international or online transactions as a precaution—a quick call or a reply to a fraud alert notification is usually all it takes to clear the block.
  5. Try a different card or payment method if the issue persists.
If you completed a payment but your plan hasn’t upgraded or your credits haven’t appeared, give it a few minutes before troubleshooting.Steps to resolve:
  1. Wait 10 minutes for the payment to fully process and propagate to your account.
  2. Do a hard refresh: Ctrl+Shift+R (Windows/Linux) or Cmd+Shift+R (Mac).
  3. Go to Settings → Billing → Billing History and confirm the transaction shows a status of Paid.
  4. Sign out and sign back in to refresh your session.
  5. If the billing history shows a successful payment but your account still hasn’t updated after 15 minutes, contact support@getbuilo.com with your transaction ID or order confirmation number.
If the amount charged doesn’t match what you expected, it’s worth reviewing your plan details and any active add-ons before assuming it’s an error.Steps to resolve:
  1. Go to Settings → Billing → Plan Details to review your current plan, billing cycle, and any credit top-ups or add-ons attached to your account.
  2. Check whether you recently switched plans mid-cycle—proration adjustments can cause the first invoice after a plan change to look unexpected.
  3. Look at Settings → Billing → Billing History to see an itemized breakdown of the charge.
  4. If after reviewing these details the charge still seems incorrect, contact support@getbuilo.com with your invoice number and a description of what you expected to be charged. The team will investigate and correct any billing errors.
GetBuilo’s refund policy is designed to be fair to founders. Here’s how to request one:

  2. If your situation qualifies, contact support@getbuilo.com with your order confirmation number, the reason for the refund request, and your account email.
  3. Approved refunds are processed back to your original payment method through Stripe. Depending on your bank, refunds typically appear within 5–10 business days.
