How Multiple Projects Work

Every GetBuilo project is a self-contained workspace. When you work inside a project, the AI builds a Founder Memory—a growing context layer that remembers your business description, the decisions you’ve made, the outputs you’ve generated, and the direction you’re heading. This memory makes every subsequent AI generation more accurate and more relevant to your specific idea. Because each project has its own isolated Founder Memory, you can safely work on a sustainability-focused e-commerce brand in one project and a B2B SaaS tool in another without any context overlap. The AI won’t confuse your brand voice, mix up your target audiences, or carry over business model choices from one idea to another.

Plan Limits on Active Projects

The number of active projects you can maintain depends on your current GetBuilo plan.
Archived projects don’t count against your active project limit on any plan. If you’re on the Free or Blueprint plan and want to start a new project, you can archive an existing one to free up a slot without losing any of your work. To remove project limits entirely, upgrade to the Launch plan or higher. Visit the Billing page in your account settings to upgrade.

Switching Between Projects

Switching projects in GetBuilo takes one click. From anywhere in your workspace, open the Project Switcher in the top-left corner of the navigation bar—you’ll see a dropdown listing all your active projects. Click any project name to jump directly into that workspace. GetBuilo loads the project’s Founder Memory and last-viewed module automatically, so you pick up right where you left off. You can also switch projects from your Dashboard by clicking any project card. The dashboard shows each project’s status, last activity date, and Founder Journey progress at a glance.

Comparing Projects Side by Side

When you’re deciding which idea to prioritize, GetBuilo’s Project Compare view helps you evaluate your options objectively. To access it:
  1. Go to your Dashboard.
  2. Select two or more projects by checking the box in the top-left corner of each project card.
  3. Click the Compare button that appears in the dashboard toolbar.
The comparison view lines up key metrics and AI-generated assessments side by side, including your Idea Validation score, Market Size estimate, Competitive Density rating, and Business Readiness score. Use this view to make a data-informed decision about where to focus your energy.

Best Practices for Managing a Portfolio of Ideas

Running multiple projects effectively is a skill. Here are the practices that keep successful multi-project founders organized in GetBuilo: Set clear statuses. Use the project status indicators (Draft, Active, Launched, Archived) deliberately. Move an idea to Draft when you’re not actively working on it but aren’t ready to archive it. This keeps your Active project list focused on what you’re actually building right now. Write detailed project descriptions. A strong description in each project helps the AI deliver better results and helps you quickly remember what each idea is about when you return to it after time away. Archive before you abandon. Before you write off an idea entirely, archive it instead. Markets change, your skills grow, and an idea that doesn’t fit today might be exactly right in six months. Archiving preserves all your work. Use the Founder Journey progress bar. Each project card on your dashboard shows how far along the Founder Journey you are. A quick scan tells you which ideas are well-developed and which ones need attention. Review your portfolio monthly. Set a recurring reminder to look across all your active projects, update their statuses, and decide where to invest your next block of AI credits. Treating your idea portfolio like a real portfolio—with periodic review and rebalancing—leads to better outcomes.
If your dashboard feels cluttered, archive any projects you haven’t touched in 30 days. Archived projects are never deleted—they’re safely stored and fully recoverable. A cleaner dashboard means faster context-switching and less cognitive overhead when you sit down to work.
