Building a business is rarely a solo endeavor, and GetBuilo’s collaboration features make it easy to bring your co-founders, early employees, and advisors into your workspace. When you invite someone to a project, they get access to everything you’ve built—your AI-generated outputs, your Founder Journey progress, your brand assets, and your business model—based on the role you assign them. Everyone works inside the same shared project, so your team always has the latest version of every output without anyone sending files back and forth.
Team collaboration features are available on the Growth and Founder OS plans. If you’re on the Free, Blueprint, or Launch plan, you’ll need to upgrade to Growth or higher to invite team members to a project. Visit Settings → Billing to upgrade your plan.

Inviting a Team Member

1

Open Project Settings

Navigate to the project you want to share and click the Settings icon in the top-right corner of the project header. In the left sidebar, select Team & Collaboration.
2

Click Invite Member

Click the Invite Member button. A dialog box will appear where you can enter the invitee’s email address and select their role.
3

Enter the Email Address

Type the email address of the person you’re inviting. You can invite multiple people at once by entering additional email addresses separated by commas.
4

Select a Role

Choose a role for each invitee: Owner, Editor, or Viewer. See the role descriptions below to choose the right level of access. You can change a member’s role at any time after they’ve joined.
5

Send the Invitation

Click Send Invite. GetBuilo sends each invitee an email with a link to join the project. If they don’t already have a GetBuilo account, they’ll be prompted to create one before accepting the invitation.
6

Confirm Pending Invites

Back in the Team & Collaboration settings panel, you’ll see all pending invitations listed under Pending Invites. You can resend or cancel any pending invite from this panel.

Team Roles and Permissions

GetBuilo uses three role types to give you granular control over what each collaborator can do inside your project.

Owner

Full control over the project. Owners can run AI generations, edit all outputs, invite and remove team members, change roles, access billing for the project, and delete the project. Each project has one Owner (the creator), though ownership can be transferred.

Editor

Editors can run AI generations, edit and annotate AI outputs, update project settings, and view all modules. Editors cannot invite or remove team members, change roles, or access billing. This role is ideal for co-founders actively building alongside you.

Viewer

Viewers can see all AI-generated outputs and Founder Journey progress but cannot make edits, run new generations, or change any settings. This role is perfect for advisors, investors, or stakeholders who need visibility without edit access.

Managing Pending Invites

After you send an invitation, it remains Pending until the recipient accepts it. To manage pending invites, go to Settings → Team & Collaboration and scroll to the Pending Invites section. From there you can:
  • Resend an invite if the original email wasn’t received (check spam folders first).
  • Cancel an invite if you no longer want to grant access before the recipient accepts.
Pending invitations expire after 7 days. If a pending invite expires, simply send a new one.

Removing a Team Member

To remove someone from your project, open Settings → Team & Collaboration and find the member in the Active Members list. Click the menu next to their name and select Remove from Project. You’ll be asked to confirm the action. Once removed, the member immediately loses access to the project and all its contents. Any AI outputs or edits they contributed remain intact in the project. Removing a team member does not delete any work—it only revokes their access.

Shared Credit Pool

On team plans, each project draws AI credits from a shared credit pool tied to the project Owner’s account. When an Editor runs a generation—whether it’s a market research report, a competitor analysis, or a website build—those credits come from the Owner’s monthly allocation, not from the Editor’s personal account. As the Owner, you can monitor credit usage by team member in Settings → Credits & Usage. This view shows how many credits each member has consumed in the current billing cycle so you can manage your shared pool effectively.
Use the Viewer role generously. Adding advisors, mentors, or early investors as Viewers gives them real-time visibility into your progress without any risk of accidental edits. It also saves you time—instead of sending updated PDFs, you invite them once and they always see the current version of your business plan.
